Honoring Light
with a Light Heart!
Dr. Diana Kanoy leads participatory simple & uplifting circle dances inspired by the Earth’s multiple sacred traditions, all taught in the moment. The "Summer Solstice Celebration," including bright poems of the 14th century Sufi Hafiz, invites us to partake of experiential practices aimed at personal and planetary transformation, by raising joy & enhancing connection to each other & the Divine.

Dance Community Feedback
May 2015: Blessings & gratitude for your wonderful gathering, a healing afternoon. Your offering is such a gift. It really did my heart good: beautiful property & bright spirits who came…I can’t wait to come to another event! Lynne Buchanan

I had such a wonderful time with you all this past weekend. I felt like a child again & it was so very refreshing to meet such graceful & welcoming souls. It really felt like going home! It was such an inspiring day & my heart is filled with excitement at the thought of dancing again with everyone. Warmest blessings & light, Samantha
Such a polished reflection presented so well! I so enjoyed soaking up the sunshine & peace. Hugs, Talia
I just wanted to let you know that we were completely moved by the dance. Something spiritual happened to us that magical Saturday – a transformation in our relationhship as a result of our experience with all of you - a miracle from the prayers in recitation, song, & dance. The spirit of peace was tangible that day, & we were able to bring this life force home with us. My heart, mind, & soul thank you for this.
The dances evoke love for people you don’t even know! They promote cooperation, with a spiritual focus that makes everyone naturally more harmonious. Universal Peace Dance, of course! What a balm for seeking souls. Love, Lee

One day the sun admitted,
I am just a shadow.
I wish I could show you
The Infinite Incandescence
That has cast my brilliant image!
I wish I could show you,
When you are lonely or in darkness,
The Astonishing Light
Of your own Being!

I am happy
even before I have a reason.
I am full of Light
even before the sky
Can greet the sun or the moon.
Dear companions,
We have been in love with God
For so very, very long.
What can Hafiz now do
but Forever
Dance!

Prayer on Light
The Prophet
O God, give me light in my heart
and light in my tongue
and light in my hearing
and light in my seeing
and light in my feeling
and light in every part of my body
and light before me
and light behind me.
Give me, I pray thee,
light on my right hand
and light on my left hand
and light above me & light beneath me.
O Lord, increase light within me
and give me light
and illuminate me.

I honor the Light within you
Allah, Allah, el Allah Hu
Ishk Allah ahbud lillah
Nur Nur Nur Allah
(God is Love, Lover & Beloved.
Light, Light, Light of God)
