The Life, Love & Laughter
of a 20th century Sufi
Illuminating the Shadow collects the Sufi writings of Moineddin Carl Jablonski (1942-2001), spiritual successor of Samuel L. Lewis, founder of the Dances of Universal Peace & originator of a branch of the Chishtia Sufi lineage called the Sufi Ruhaniat International.
The book weaves autobiography, interviews, letters, articles and poems, in a unique glimpse of an illuminated Western-born mystic. Jablonski faced enormous inner & outer challenges as he sought to establish an authentic, living Sufi tradition in the West.

Responses to the GRC Dance
I had a wonderful time & it seemed that everyone there, down to the smallest child, enjoyed it. Most especially, I liked the welcoming atmosphere of the Gainesville Retreat Center thanks to our hosts Shana Smith & friends & family. I hope that we can have events there like last evening on a continuing basis.

Dearest Diana, What a wonderful time you created for us last evening! I felt utterly blessed, yet again, to share the joy of the dances. Your thoughtful attention to include the children added such pure delight to our occasion! My landscape has enlarged to discover the rich resource of Shana's offerings at the inspiring GRC. Her song with Rebecca was truly transporting! Their voices together are glorious. I floated home a thoroughly happy being.
