Welcome!
The Dances of Universal Peace ('Sufi Dancing') honor sacred traditions of the earth by incorporating mantras & scripture of the world’s religions into melodic moving meditations. The evening will include singing, dancing, & prayers, with everyone participating.
These dances are spiritual practice for many dancers, & we can help maintain the sacred, joyful atmosphere as we sing & dance. It is customary to sing whole-heartedly, hold a minute or so of silence after a dance ends, & to refrain from talking throughout the evening.
We are thankful for this opportunity to dance together in candle-light to celebrate the coming year with peaceful, joyful hearts. Please sign in on arrival.
Wear comfortable shoes for dancing.

Comment from Patrick: Cyd & I had such a great time at Dancing Peacock Paradise, both yesterday for Christmas Day Dances of Universal Peace and today as well. We agree that it was the best one to date. The event seemed to attract luminaries from far and wide, as it should. Cyd never enjoyed playing the viola more and has never sounded better. I even cemented my own reputation as a humble musician. Now we are so looking forward to your New Year's Eve global peace dance!
